First heard this album as a CD back in the mid 1990s in college. Like lots of other great music it was laying in clothes, shoes etc etc strewn around Skinker’s room. He was a good guitar player. He had the hands, head and heart for it. I need to get up with him more often.

This original recording was also released the year I was born.
1973, was a great year for tunes.

I’m now collecting many other Jerry & Merl recordings on CD.
Merl and his organ added a real soul to what were staple songs by the Jerry Garcia Band.
Kind of made their jams sound a little Allman Bros-esque.
